My Bio
If you like our work, please visit us at our Etsy Store at www.etsy.com/shop/dragonscalea… or at our website at www.dragonscale.com.

Maya Heath began her apprenticeship in the jewelry business in the 1970s in Albuquerque, N.M., working in the silver trade shops during the Indian jewelry boom. She quickly learned the business from every aspect, becoming skilled both at custom stone cutting, smithwork and master model making.

In 1987 she took a step farther toward the dream that began in New Mexico – her own jewelry company that would focus on rare, unusual and spiritual designs produced with the finest quality standards in uniquely original pieces catering to the metaphysical and alternative spirituality community.

In 2003, Phillip Montgomery joined Dragonscale. A superb craftsman in creating one-of-a-kind artifacts from precious metals, ivory, amber, horn and bone, his work has been shown in such prestigious venues as the Orlando Museum of Fine Art. He has contributed his own vision and artistic flair toward expanding the Dragonscale line, marked by elegance in craftsmanship and an eye for the unusual as well as the beautiful.

Since that time, Maya and Phillip have pursued their dedication to quality craftsmanship and originality. All designs are based on extensive historical art research and their unique gift for translating that research into distinctive jewelry. Carving all master designs themselves, they supervise their production in their own studio just outside Orlando, FL.

Each piece is unique, reflecting in its painstaking attention to detail, the world of space and time in historical and alternative spirituality talismans and charms. From the arcane to the spiritual, each piece is designed with historical accuracy and visionary intensity. Unique and hard-to-find imagery is all collected in the Dragonscale Catalogue. We cater to a wide spectrum of interests and beliefs - Pagan, Goddess, Christian, Egyptian, Norse, Cretan, Hindu, Asian and Yoruban are just some of the lines we offer in our ever-expanding line.

Home Again

YEAY!!! We are home from Pennsic!! What a wonderful time.  Its always so stimulating to meet people and see what's happening out in the world.  Many thinks to those that pointed out some omissions and errors on our website that we missed the first time around. We've finally gotten that all fixed (we hope)  Now we're looking forward to getting life back to its normal groove and eventually seeing folks in March at Gulf Wars.

Good day, All - We've been out of touch for a while - traveling, working and - oh yes - building a NEW WEBSITE!!!  Every single item we make has been rephotographed so all the images are crisp and clear - every single page has been redone.  We even take PayPal now.  So we're feeling pretty pleased with things.  It's been a huge amount of energy but well worth it - and there's so much more to show than is on our Etsy site or DA.  So please come give it a look www.dragonscale.com.  Meanwhile - we're going to go celebrate.

Your work is so beautiful! Truly an inspiration.
It was so awesome meeting you guys at Pennsic! And thank you for making such wonderful Egyptian pendants. I can't WAIT to start making jewelry out of them. (And it was great to talk Ancient Egypt with y'all as well!)
Welcome to the group! We hope you enjoy being part of our little community! If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to ask :)

Great jewelry :)
I'm not sure if you're in need of any leatherwork, but would you be interested in a trade in exchange for one of your beautiful medallions?
